MSM Loaded Headline of the Day
Since 'swiftboating' has now become synonymous with underhanded smear tactics in MSMspeak, how about this headline:
Bush Swift Boats Belgium, Congress
April 4, 2007— While Congress is out of session, President Bush flexed his executive power muscle, appointing businessman Sam Fox as U.S. ambassador to Belgium less than a week after his nomination was pulled when Senate Democrats hammered away at him for donating money to a conservative group that helped sink Sen. John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign.
Kerry and Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., led Senate Democrats' opposition to Fox, who in 2004 contributed $50,000 to the slanderous Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which used a series of television ads to undermine Kerry's combat record.
The 'slanderous' Swift Boat Veterans for truth??? Upon what basis were they able to draw such a legal conclusion? The story continues with about 7 paragraphs of quotes from Sens. Dodd and Kerry about how earth shatteringly terrible the appointment is.
Hmmmmm. Let's see if the author of this article, has any biases regarding the 2004 election:

This just proves how low the antique MSM has sunk into the gutter. Everyone with an IQ over freezing tempature (F) knows that the Swift Boat Vet's for truth proved they're case 'court house tight'. Hanoi John lied to make himself look big and got caught. I wonder if that is seared, seared in his mind. That would be impossible since he has no mind. Christmas in Cambodia anyone?

The dialog in America needs to go for truth, despite one's political leanings. I am a Vietnam Vet and I don't think I fully understood my role as a 19 year old. Hindsight shows that 58 thou died for the military industrial complex. ($) President Eisenhower's famous quote just prior to leaving office - beware the military industrial complex.
As to Mr. Fox - I don't know how you can hold him accountable for what Swifties did with his money. I also don't think you can find a journalist in America that doesn't display some political bias. Fox is pretty good for the NeoCon's. Of Course Rupert insists on this. War footage and vicarious violence sells. Cronkite was as close to neutral as I can remember.
Firefighter, are you a millionaire - these Swifties were bought and paid for. I'm ashamed to admit their fellow Nam Vets. Nothing worse than a politicized General. Kerry is no saint - but the proof is in what those who physically served with him have to say. You've been in a fire with guys to whom you entrust your life?
They'll tell the truth every time.
If you flinched, they'll disown you. If you stood and delivered, they'll stand with you always. Not one Political Swiftie served with Kerry, not one.
Other than that - forget this Liberal - Conservative labeling. Common sense will tell you who is blowing smoke.
This Bradley scoop is mundane minutia and so is the hype against Fox. Bush-Cheney is more the story.
