Kos' Love Affair with Heath Shuler

Poor Heath Shuler. The one-time Tennessee Vile and NFL bust, may have just become the next victim of Kos' Kiss of Death. Strange how Kos picks and chooses his moderates. Shuler doesn't sound as moderate as Sen. Lieberman, he sounds better:

On Family Values and Abortion

I am a pro-life Democrat and I believe that all life is sacred.

I have never shied away from openly discussing my faith.

On Immigration

Make no mistake about it; this is a National Security issue. The security of the United States and its citizens must be the foremost priority in formulating border and immigration policies. We must know if terrorists are entering our country and whether our visitors are abiding by their visas and our laws. These are legitimate concerns that need to be addressed by our immigration policies.

We must control immigration and secure our borders. The lessons of September 11th clearly displayed the inability of our immigration policy to keep criminals and terrorists out of our country. We have millions of illegal immigrants in our country and our government has no idea who they are and if they pose a threat to us.

I do not support granting amnesty to people who have broken the law.

On Kelo

Owning a home has always been a fundamental part of the American dream. However, the recent Supreme Court decision in Kelo v. New London, CT. has endangered that right. This decision resulted in a corporation taking private property away from an individual under the pretext of eminent domain.

I strongly disagree with the Supreme Court’s decision in the Kelo case and I will never support using eminent domain to take away any individual’s private property for the benefit of another individual or corporation.

While this case must be remedied at the state level, I will work closely with the Governor and our state legislature to protect the rights of individual property owners.

On the Second Amendment

I strongly support the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America which clearly states that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

As a life-long hunter and sportsman, I understand how the 2nd Amendment protects our culture and heritage. I am a member of several hunting and firearm organizations including: Quail Unlimited, Ruffed Grouse Society, Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.

I will always support the rights of law-abiding citizens to own firearms, to hunt and to protect their life and property.

UPDATE: Brainshrub snarks and plays from the left. Kos still oblivious.
